Monitoring Your Eye Health
Glaucoma
Glaucoma damages the optic nerve and often develops without noticeable symptoms. Regular eye examinations help detect signs early, so we can advise on the next steps and refer you for specialist care when needed.
Diabetes & Your Eyes
Diabetes can damage the blood vessels at the back of your eyes. Regular eye tests help monitor your overall eye health, alongside any diabetic eye screening you’re invited to attend. Both are important, even when your vision seems unchanged.
Caring for Uncomfortable Eyes
Dry Eyes
Dry eyes can feel sore, gritty or irritated, and may water more than usual. We can assess your symptoms and advise on suitable treatments and everyday changes to help keep your eyes comfortable.
Blepharitis
Blepharitis causes inflammation around the edges of your eyelids, often leading to itching, soreness or crusting around the lashes. We can advise on eyelid hygiene and suitable care to help manage symptoms.

Changes to Your Vision
Cataracts
Cataracts develop when the lens inside your eye becomes cloudy, causing blurred vision, glare or difficulty seeing at night. We can check for cataracts and discuss referral for surgery when appropriate.
Macular Degeneration
Age-related macular degeneration affects your central vision, making activities such as reading and recognising faces more difficult. Eye examinations can help identify signs, and we can refer you for further assessment when needed.
